Special firkin at the Big Texas Beer Fest. This is the Deep Ellum IPA, aged with oak chips and dry hopped with Apollo and Mt. Hood hops.

The beer pours a cloudy yellow-orange color with a white head. The aroma is very nice, with a lot of tropical fruit notes - pineapple, mango and apricot - as well as some grass, pine and a little bit of oak. The flavor is more of the same, with the oak really complimenting the fruity and piney hop notes. There is a little bit of a biscuit malt backbone, which keeps the bitterness in the low to medium range. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.
