Reviewed from notes taken at the Green Flash Tasting Room, SD.
A- Deep orange hue to the body into a half-pint glass. Creamy white head rises to a finger and displays good retention. Big clouds of lace coat the glass smoothly from a thick ring.
S- Semi faint for the style but I pick up a good balance of light malty cracked grains and tropical, fruity and floral hops.
T- Reminds me of my homebrew with that grape berry hoppy feel, I wonder if there is some Nelson in here or similar. Hops are not huge but the most potent thing of the flavor indeed. Some citrus and tropical and light caramel cracked malts round it out.
MF- Creamy light moderate body with carbonation that is at a medium level. Foams up nicely with some agitation and leaves a slight bitterness on the palate.
Junior IPA indeed, not as pungent and concentrated with hops as other similar brews but at the same time it doesn't have to be and still displays good beer making.
