Draft at LAS. Crisp and dry pilsener, pale golden with small foamy head. Taste is grains, mild hops. Lingering finish leaves mouth dry. Pretty accurate for the style.

Draft tonight at the GF tap takeover at Bittercreek... Pours clear polished golden with a nice rocky white head.. I would guess Saaz hops and a heavy hand on the flavor and aroma.. bittering is also pretty good... Seems more pale malt than pils malt, but not a big complaint... Nice and clean and a great change of pace from the hop and sour monsters we've been enjoying tonight.... I'd happily buy this again, may not be perfectly to style, but still nice when a brewer tries to make a cool lager.

Oddly green tinge to the pale yellow color. Ample ring lace to the otherwise modest head.

The smell is mostly freshly gristed pale malted barley.

The flavor is soft pale malt with a strong pepper-shaker of noble hops. The aftertaste is bitingly bitter. This may be the closest American version of the real thing. Rich body with an appropriate level of carbonation.

always funny when a brewery known for doing one thing well goes in a different direction, and the beer falls flat becuase its not what we all expected from them. this is guilty of that in some sense, the first green flash beer maybe ever to be less than a hop bomb, and what is this pils missing? an appreciable hop profile beyond the standard grassy straw balancing bitterness that every single pilsener ever made has. its an irrelevant commentary on the style, bland in malt, one dimensional there, and so light in body as to be confused with a coors light. i dont dislike it though, think its fits the pils style guidelines well, but where is the innovation? it seems this series from them may have run its course, a white, black, and session ipa, fine, but now this? it was a disappointment to me, not because i didnt like the beer but because green flash can do a lot more with a pils than this, im sure of it.

Got this beer on tap at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Old Town San Diego. Beer was straw-gold and effervescent with a thin head. Aroma was subdued, consisting mainly of Pilsen malt. The malt was a bit grainy and there was a nice, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Saaz is definitely present. Overall, a solid, serviceable example of the style and a beer that I’d grab on a hot day.

Poured a clear, yellow color. Medium sized, white head. Very clean and stylistically sound. Very subtle nose. Pils malt and lager yeast. Some grassy hops. The flavor was more of the same. A bit grainy. It was grassy and biscuity or crackery. Refreshing, light and crisp. Drinks very easily and quickly. Lacking any real individuality but it's a well done beer with no clear flaws. I always enjoy a well made Pils.

Light golden hued with nearly no head at all. Exceptional clarity. Aroma is faintly of light pilsner malt and somewhat of a saltine cracker. The mouth is light and refreshing. The flavor is light pilsner malt and faint bittering hops. The finish comes off as salty due to the lasting hop bite.

Type: Draft
Glass: 0.5L (16.9 oz.) glass
From: Blind Lady Ale House in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $4.00 (with progressive Friday)
Purchased: Feb. 21, 2014
Consumed: Feb. 21, 2014
Misc.: N/A

Poured a golden yellow hazy color with three fingers of frothy white head. Lots of layered foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention all the way down.

Smelled cereal, sourdough bread, honey, grassy hops, wheat, corn, bubblegum, light citrus and lemon.

Tasted similar to the nose, but a bit stronger. Fairly dry malts. Honey, sourdough, bread, grass, corn and faint booziness.

Light body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Semi-abrupt finish.

This was a very good pilsner. I’d have it again for sure if I was in the mood.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a bright, clean, clear gold color with 1/2 inch of bright white head that had decent retention and lacing.

The aroma was fairly subdued and benign, and featured a pleasant enough grain base with some soft hops. On the tongue though, the beer had a much more assertive personality, nice earthy grains, hops that had a fair amount of "pop", and just enough tang to be interesting.

The body was very nice, full and smooth without being heavy, and with a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was very good, my pint was gone quickly and I'll be having more while it's on tap. Overall, a very pleasant brew, one that's worth your time if you see it.

Served in a tasting glass at the brewery.

Pale, some head, no lace.

Fruity and lagered.

Incredible! One of the best lagers I've encountered. Very fruity without being bitter, and a nice chewy body. Full and delicious.

Overall, highly recommended to EVERYONE.

Enjoyed this beer on tap at LURES in Maryland

A: Pours a copper hue with a white head that quickly dissipates in to a wispy lace.

S: Pleasant malty aroma.

T: Sweet malt flavor and finished slightly bitter and dry

M: Medium body and medium carbonation

O: Decent pilsner – nothing I would grab again.

Served on-tap at Rattle N Hum in New York, NY

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation and some lemon + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a little more than a half finger tall sudsy white head that reduces to a thin film covering about half of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to heavy amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of slightly sweet malts with a touch of cereal grain and light to moderate aromas of grassy hops.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of cereal grain malts with a touch of sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of grassy hops. Moderate amounts of bitterness that linger for a short while.

M: Medium bodied with just shy of moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Enjoyable and refreshing of a warm spring afternoon, light enough to be sessionable. Matched well with the meaty shepherd's pie I had for a late lunch.

It comes in a clear yellow pilsner color.

There is a decent amount of hops in the aroma with much skunk.

The flavor is very Czech pilsner. There's that saaz hops flavor with a dry finish.

So far, this is the best Czech pilsner from the US I've had. It's very close to the real thing. It misses a bit of warmness, complexity, and stankiness, but it's very very close. Lovely beer.

I really enjoyed this pilsner, it definitely looks like a lighter beer and isn't impressive at first.

Smells clean and crisp. Slight malty and hop note with cereal notes.

Taste is great, the clove, malty notes slide to the slight hoppy. Ends with a subdued toasted cereal note. Everything about this beer is balanced and subtle.

Mouthfeel is sharp and slightly dry.

Overall this is a pilsner I wish was bottled.

Served from tap into a shaker. Poured golden yellow with one finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, fruit, bread, wheat, grain, and spice. The flavor was of sweet malt, grain, wheat, bread, and spice. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly decent brew. While this one definitely had quite a few flavors that one would expect from the style it just felt like it didn’t really have anything above and beyond that. While this fact made it quite easy to drink, it didn’t make it very enjoyable unfortunately. If you are a fan of traditional brews from this style, this one might be right up your alley though. I prefer for my palate to be challenged though, thusly why I say that. Worth your time is you are a fan of the traditional style, but that is about it.

On tap at Engine 15. So-so drinking beer. No aroma. Light yellow with a lace sheet. Bland though a dry lightly hopped finish was pleasant.
Average beer overall. Formerly called Fizzy Yellow Beer. 35 IBU. More that than a true Czech Pilsner in terms of taste.

Served in a nonic pint glass at the Schaumburg Whole Foods.

Groovy, man. This stuff pours a clear lemon-straw topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises grass and a very light bit of wheat. It's overtly simple and straightforward thus far. The taste holds notes of grass, strong flowers, and a very slight biscuit backbone. The body is a hefty-leaning light, with a light moderate carbonation and a crisp, dry finish. Overall, a pretty nice, in-your-face-with-its-pilsner-ness pils. Not bad.

On tap at Green Flash Brewing Company in San Diego, CA.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, grass, and hay aromas. Taste is much the same with a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but pretty basic and nothing too exciting.
