An interesting find today in Winston Salem, pours a deep ruby with a thin white head, aromas are light of some dark fruit and some brown suger but pretty light.Fruity flavors dominate here some plum and some raisin with a touch of smokiness in the finish. Not overly complex but flavorful and a traditional so I am more than pleased to drink this offering.

Pours a dark ruby colour with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is of roasted hops, a smoky hint and prunes and raisins.
The taste has more dried fruit, hoasted hops, malty and floral notes, with a slight shortcake undertone.
Smooth mouthfeel, drinks very nicely.
I would say that poor reviews by those far away from the Bristol brewery reflect how poorly this beer travels. I bought mine in North Bristol, and its cracking.

This beer had a decent appearance. It had a nice white head that slowly faded to a thin lace.
The smell was somewhat of a wheat beer. It had a hit of wheat smell but also a thick malty smell to it.
the taste was mostly malty with a slight hint of hops. A very mild flavored beer.
The mouthfeel was nothing special.
Basically a mediocre brew.

Very quick developing head... almost tan in color and quite thick, but dissappears quickly. The smell and the taste are both equal in that they both smell like a shot of whiskey. Hmm, interesting flavor, whiskeyish if you know what I mean, not quite to my taste.. sorry smiles... rank: 2.5 over all
