Dark amber in the Pilsener glass with an adequate head. A fruity stew of flavors with an herbal taste. Seriously sweet with a fruit-juice flavor plus a bitter edge. Not as much aroma as you might like in a big hoppy brew. A candy taste.
Yipes, this is really strong. It doesn't go down as easy as some others, though the sweet caramel flavor greases the skids. Label says they use Cascade. Centennial, and Galaxy hops and rates this at 103 IBUs, for what it's worth. It's bitter but less so than a lot of these DIPAs. It's more of a malt bomb. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Baron's Marketplace on West Point Loma.
