On tap at Field Of Drafts held at The Hanger in Lancaster, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and slight pepper aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and habanero flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness and a chile heat that lingers on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty with a spicy but enjoyable habanero presence in the flavor.
