This is generally a middling IPA. It poured kind of cloudy, fairly dark for an IPA (crystal malt?).
The bitterness was high and harsh and clashed with the substantial malt flavors. Too much crystal malt flavor conflicting with the hop flavor left me confused over what I was drinking.
Aroma was ok, but not distinctive.

wow, for an 82 ibu beer, the chili evenly masked the ibu's. what an incredible beer. the spice was off the chain, very clearly adding to the existing malt bill, but not overpowering the overall smell/taste of the ale....
