On tap at Aztec Brewery. A Baltic Porter aged on chocolate.
A: Deep brown with a crimson tinge near the edges. The head is creamy and beige, rising an inch above the liquid.
S: Earthy coffee blends with strong cocoa notes. Roasted malt is pronounced. I get a touch of citrus and there are evident nutty notes.
T: Big dark chocolate profile with a strong roasted grain presence. There's a low earthy bitterness with light nutty notes. Coffee is well integrated and there's a dash of caramel. The finish is dry with an increase in bitterness.
M: Lower full in body with a creamy medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is sticky and dry.
Overall: A good Chocolate Porter, complex and tasty.
