On tap at Aztec Brewing Company in Vista, CA.
Pours a slightly murky dark brown with a beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, dark fruits, and some slight bourbon aromas. Taste is very much the same even down to subtle bourbon flavors. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good dubbel with an interesting method of fermenting the beer in Heaven Hill barrels.
