Excellent flavor, very nutty but not overly heavy. At 6.9% abv, this beer is strong but not overwhelming so you can drink more than one. A friend and I shared a growler and it was just right. Darker beers are not usually my preference but this is easy to drink and a great year-round stout.

Rather heavy bodied and quite strong. Sublimely dry without the slightest hint of sweetness. I adore the mouthfeel. Loads of dry nut and oat aroma and flavor. Light amounts of coffee and chocolate in the nose as well. Very dark almost black appearance with beautiful mahogany hues when held to the light. Average head retention.
