12 oz. bottle, no bottling information. Acquired a single bottle of this stuff from the local Binny's. My first beer from Rhinelander Brewing Company, and a style i quite enjoy.
A - Pours a dark coppery penny amber color, decent clarity, finger of quickly dissipating beige froth. Mild scattered lace. Looks fresh and appealing.
S - Notes of dark bread, raisins, cream, bread crust, slightly coiny / metallic. Some sort of malty sweetness.
T - Taste brings in more spice content than initially imagined. Notes of clove & star anise are present on the finish, along with some lingering bready malts, and a mild earthy hop character playing around in the back. Not exactly scratching that classic Oktoberfest itch for me; too spiced for me, and the malts are not quite brown or bready enough for me. Reminds me of some gluten free beers I've had in the past. Quite simply, there isn't enough flavor for me here.
M - Feel is smooth & crisp, dry finish. Again, too light and clean feeling. There should be residual breadiness on the ready, and there isn't. Lingering spice in the finish.
Overall, unimpressed by this take on the style from Rhinelander Brewing, but always would give this brewery another shot.

Unknown vintage (presumably 2021); drank 9/14/21 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange/red appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small eggshell head; frothy lace.
Biscuit, burnt leaves, mild cream & faint metallic (?) notes in the nose...it's not even in a can, so that's odd.
Medium mouthfeel.
Caramel & metallic flavors up front; acorn & faint cream notes on the finish.
Odd notes here; can't say I'll ever have this again.

Pours an orangey amber color. Completely clear. Thick four finger head appears with a straight pour. Head dissipates steadily leaving just a thin layer of bubbles on top of the beer. No lacing.
Smell is bready with some spicy hops and a distinct peppery yeast aroma. Yeast aroma is reminiscent of a Belgian and becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Not really what Id expect from a marzen.
Taste is bready initially with some spicy hops. There is a strong fruity mean like flavor in here that is also on the sweet side. There is a bit of a twangy not quite sour, but almost flavor to it. Kind of odd. Overall the flavors are also kind of watery.
Feel is smooth and light - certainly drinks easy. Medium carbonation.
Overall this just isn't great - the twangy flavor, watery, and that yeasty aroma - all add up to make this a less than average marzen.

Poured into a dimpled mug.
Look: Rusty copper colored body with a quickly receding cream colored head. No lacing and no foam left on top. It just all disappears.
Aroma: Toasted malts, sweet caramel, a metallic tang on the back end.
Taste: Starts off spicy and bright with peppery and spicy hops showing off. A little bit of toffee and caramel somewhere in the middle with a sour finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light, carbonated, dry.
Overall: It just tastes a little on the cheap end, and it's too metallic and bright.
