A Hodag beer brewed in Rhinelander not Monroe. A gold metal winner at 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championships. Tested from a 32oz can bought at the Rhinelander taproom . This can is from a new batch that came out about 2 weeks ago. Not my favorite style of beer.
Nice looking beer reddish amber body with a nice head that leaves some nice lacing.
Smells good: toasted bread
Taste: nice toasted bread, a hint of grain , some caramel. Just slightly sweet overall.
Nice smooth malty feel.
I did notice a off flavor in the back ground after it warmed up.
