my least favorite beer i have ever had from these guys, not sure whats going on with it, but it feels heavy in the gut, a little too sweet, and under balanced in terms of hops. it looks nice though, fluffy off white head on a clearish amber to mahogany base color, pretty pint. it smells alright too, more citrus on the hops than anything else, but they never come through in the taste. instead a parcooked bread or pizza crust doughy thing comes in, and a lot of that is lost. oddly yeasty too, seems like a flaw in this style to me. i have never seen this packaged or anywhere outside of telluride, but there were handles of it all over town so somebody must be drinking it. for my money, their fishwater project or face down brown are vastly superior beers. i was almost surprised at how lackluster this is after considering the rest of their portfolio. its alright as a thoughtless food beer, but i know they are capable of a whole lot more than this one.
