Solid summer brew. Fairly dry with nice brightness. Pleasant mouthfeel. This beer doesn't have the dislikable mustiness of some wheat beers.

ignore rating for look; drank from can. but you have to put something down, and I didn't want to reduce the overall score, ergo 4. Can looks nice. (you can also dismiss my "smell" rating as it was a little forced, trying to draw aroma from the can opening . but unlike "look" at least I tried.)

my initial, up-front, first sip reaction was--a non-bland american wheat! This wasn't brewed to be a non-objectionable easy-drinker for people who "don't like those bitter/hoppy beers". I mean its not an IPA disguised as a wheat beer by any means, but it has substantial hop flavor--I would say, noble hops or American versions of them, with something throwing a little citrus (lemon, to my palate) in there too-- and a nice, if gentle, backbone of bitterness. It still has that familiar, I don't know, "wheatiness" but it isn't cloying or sweet. Finishes dry, not sweet at all. begs a second beer, but i only had one available. Will drink again; will look for in stores and on tap lists.

This little beer pours a pretty yellow with lots of lacing. The aroma a fresh and not funky with finishing hops like it could be.

There taste is wheat malts and hops. Nice. Well done.

sometimes less can be more in a simple beer style like this, and i think telluride knows that, and expresses the sentiment well across a lot of their core brands. they never seem to try to do too much with a basic style, and i appreciate that nowhere more than here in this summery wheat beer. its creamy and pale, frothy from the keg, very well carbonated, and bright yellow in color, some haze but not messy looking at all. aroma has light tea and lemongrass notes, even a suggestion of vanilla somehow, all real subtle and fresh, with the wheat taking center stage. to me this beer always tastes really fresh, i love the dry cerealy wheat and whatever hops give it this herbaceous summery citrus complexion all the way through it. easy drinking as they get too, fluffy feeling but light, almost hollow, and brilliantly bubbly. this is a perfect summer crusher, more flavorful than a lot of straight ahead wheat beer types, and i think theyve done an excellent job making theirs interesting enough to be appealing to beer geeks while also keeping it real simple. this is a great recipe and one of the better basic wheats in the market here in colorado.

12 oz. Can

Pours a nice yellow color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice small off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, yeasty, with some citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, yeasty, citrusy. Medium body, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Great wheat beer. Easy to drink. Great after taste. Fresh easy ingredients. Recommend to anyone who likes wheat beer. The look is very light/pale. The taste is light as well but you can taste the wheat/ yeast but no need for a lemon. Easy beer to sip. Not to heavy on alcohol. This beer won silver in 2015 at the Great American Beer Festival. First time drinking it but its now at the top of my local wheat beer list.
