Whipsaw Black IPA at the Casual Pint.
Dark deep red brown; clear but near opaque. Decent tan head.
Nice hoppy aroma with a solid contribution from sweet malts and roasted grains. Hints of coffee and burnt toast.
Flavor: nice mix and balance, but a relatively low hop load make this more like a Black Pale Ale than a Black IPA. Lingering aftertaste featuring both dark roasted grains and the hops.
