Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazy yellow-orange color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head fades very fast leaving just a touch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of a citrus smell of orange and tangerine as well as some other light sweeter smells of pineapple. Along with these aromas comes some pine and herb and a touch of grapefruit hop.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice orange flavor that is backed by a big bready malt taste. Upfront there is also some flavors of herb and pine which balance the sweeter orange rather well. As the taste moves forward the herbal hop grows stronger and is joined by some flavors of grapefruit rind. At the end a bit of a grainy taste as well as some light earth come to the tongue and leave one with a rather pleasant slightly dank, but balanced hop taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the mix of flavors the feel is great and makes for a nice easy sipper.
Overall – A rather well done brew with an easy drinking feel and a nice balance of dank and sweeter flavors.
