This pours the color of dark cocoa with a nice layer of foam atop it. There’s an aroma that’s floral and roasty, with hints of cocoa and springtime flowers. It tastes fruity, funky, and sharply bitter—especially on the finish. The bitterness gives it a definition and character that had me wishing for just a touch of smoked malt on the bill as well. Maybe in another iteration? This was another enjoyable brew from some good folks.
