330ml bottle thanks to joecast in the Australian BIF. Hadn't even heard of these guys so a very nice surprise. Poured into a Kent Old Brown handle.
Dark black, no light permeating through. Lots of beige foam on top. Good retention of the oversize head.
Smell is of chocolate and chocolate covered liquorice which dies down a shade as it warms. Almost like chocolate bullet sweets.
Taste has more of the chocolate bullet flavour to it. Still some residual chocolate playing a minor role, but a unique taste to this. Not real true to style, but that's cool.
Mouthfeel is really quite good. Silky, some bitterness at the back end. Impressed!
Well done, fun to drink and different, not really super true to style. Considering i hadn't heard of these guys i had no expectations, but i was pleasantly surprised.

Nice dry black color (if that's possible). Struggles forming a head but leaves some light lacing of tan foam streaks.
Smell is very nice though. You get the different aspect of the malt. Roast, cocoa, some dryness. Very enjoyable.
Taste, while being light, has that same roasted and light cocoa character. Some fruity character seems to be a mix of hops and dark malts. While the bitterness is low the dry finish keeps it from being overly sweet.
While the abv is mid range the light mouthfeel means the bottle goes quickly. Quality stuff first up. Will get though the rest of the range soon.
