A Bohemian-style golden lager brewed from premium European barley and spicy Saaz hops. Rich grain malt, pronounced but soft and rounded hop character, and a clean smooth palate. Gold medalist, Bohemian-style Pilsner, 2010 Great American Beer Festival.

Boathouse Pilsner pours a clear golden hue with a small head and a decent amount of carbonation.
The aroma is very bread like. There is a bit of sweetness and spice as well.
The flavor is grain forward and slightly hoppy with some bread like elements as well. It finishes with a bit of sweetness and a decent bitterness.
Overall this is a decent Pilsner.

Brilliantly clear, light yellow body; decent, foamy, white head. Excellent biscuit aroma. Light cereal grain flavor with a well-balanced hop bitterness; fine mineral quality. Light to medium-light body; crisp and dry.
A deceptively fine Czech-styled pilsner. The hop bitterness starts out pretty low-key but really develops after every sip. Great balance with some excellent depth.

I picked this beer up at a recent Packers game while in Green Bay. Finally getting around to reviewing it.
This beer pours a clear, straw hue that showcases a very high carbonation and a bright white head that looks like the froth on top of a latte. The head dissipates ultra slowly. 4/5 The aroma is fairly strong with malt aromas of grain, white bread, and a bit of sweet caramel. The balance of the aroma leans towards sweet. The hops come across as a bit spicy and earthy. There is also a bit of corn in the aroma as an undertone. 3.75/5 As with the aroma, the flavor is fairly strong and features malt flavors of grain, white bread, cracker, and just a hint of sweet caramel. There is a bit of corn that goes along with the malt. The hops are fairly strong and come across as peppery and grassy, with just a hint of earth to them. There is a bit of a metallic off-flavor as well that takes away from the flavor profile. The balance of the flavor leans heavily towards bitter with the bitterness lingering quite long after swallowing. 3.25/5 This is a light bodied beer with very lively carbonation, but not excessively so. It is fairly drying and crisp/prickly, with a lingering dryness. 3.5/5 Overall this beer is good, but the metallic flavor really throws things off for me. The aroma and flavor both lean in favor of the hops and their associated bitterness, but that is expected per the style. To me, it is much more like a German Pilsner than a Czech. 3.5/5

Celebrated the Packers win over the Cowboys NCF Divisional playoff with this beer. Poured 12oz bottle into Pils glass. Color is light straw in color, crystal clear with a foamy 2.5 finger white head. It has a very clean malt/grain to it and the hops are very prevalent with a spicy bitterness and floral flavor and aroma. Smooth and crisp with a clean finish. I really enjoyed this and think it rivals New Glarus.

12oz bottle, served in a snifter glass.
Pours a medium golden body with a slight orange hue, one finger white head, not much retention or lacing. Smells of floral and grassy perfume-y notes, mild grainy breadiness. Not too complicated, but it does smell fairly grassy. It brings more of the sweet breadiness on the palate with a more bitter grassiness on the backend. It's clean and crisp, without any weird flavours. It's a decent representation of a czech pilsner. Mouthfeel is medium-thinner bodied, crisp and dry, a bit lower in carbonation than expected, bread and grassiness on the finish. A decent Czech pils, not a bad lawnmower beer.

Serving; On tap at the brewpub
Served: 3 January 2016
Appearance: Pours a nice golden color crowned with a pearly head. Good carbonation visible in the glass.
Smell: Sweeter malt notes than I was anticipating for the style- the bready, biscuity notes are definitely there, but it's a pinch sweeter than normal. The noble hops are right on the nose too, lending a nice spicy note to the nose.
Taste: Really enjoyable beer- the noble hop herbal/spice notes leaves you searching for another sip. The malt backbone is a bit weak for the style, but not terribly so. Not extraordinarily bitter or anything.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body with high carbonation.
Overall: A great craft lager, for sure, and one I would recommend all lager-heads check out if they're in the area. I would have liked to see this beer a bit more bitter than it is, but otherwise a good lager.

Had on tap. Pours a pretty clear gold with a sudsy white head. White bread, grains, grassy hops, and a kiss of lemon in the nose. Taste is sweeter, like king's hawaiian bread malts with mild hops and citrus zest, want more rounding out. Feel is well balanced for the style, decently crisp and clean, but again slightly sweet in the malt work.
