This beer was reviewed as part of a sampler platter at the brewery. There is no style grand cru for beer, I suspected this was a belgian style dark/strong and reviewed it as such. The pour is of a dark copper, topped with a small off white head. The aroma is yeasty and a winey wiff jumps out at you. The flavor starts light malty, nice and then moves towards a wine like flavor. The mouthfeel hints at alcohol, not too hot however. The finish is floral and wine like. This is not for quenching thirst but is a wonderful beer.

Cherried amber topped with sandstone lacework.
Nose is ripe with bing cherries, rum-drenched pear, brown sugar, toasted caramel, and spicy rye breads.
Enters the mouth full of yeasty dark breads, lightly toasted and draped in caramel. Not as complex as I'd hoped, at least right away. As it rests, a cinnamon/brown sugar crust forms, and it segues into fruit. Pineapples are suggested, then more authoritative nods towards pit-intact cherries and honeydew melons. A burnt coconut hue develops late. Alcohol is largely absent. Vanilla cream smoothness materializes with warmth.
Full bodied, but not obese in the mouth. This drinks half its size, and that might be its best feature.
A benign and rather straightforward Cru. But a damn tasty, intergrated and drinkable one. I'd love to tackle a growler (or more) of this. This is by no means a session brew, but it sure seems as such.
Kudos, again, go to Bighuge for the rebottled sample.

I have come to really enjoy the beers from Tittletown and this is another shining example of their quality...
Pours a rich auburn color...sweet candy sugar like nose...very nice..I love this aroma...a hint of rum soaked black cherries....
Body is medium...smooth...nice sweet, rich flavor....some booze soaked dark fruits...also a bit of bubble gum...very sweet but not overdone...
Not the most complex beer in the world but I love it....I wish they'd Put this into 6-packs...I would rate this as my thrid favorite TT beer behind their Weizenbock and O-fest..I'm kicking myself in the ass for only getting one growler of this while in town....

1/2 gallon growler.
Burgandy tone. Clarity is good. Decent sized bubbly beige head. Retention is adequate. Lacing is ring like. Nice sweet aroma. Bubblegum esters and cotton candy mix with slight alcohol and caramel coated raisins. A fresh yeastiness is quite appealing too. Nice sweet taste too. Rum and raisin. Fruity esters. A little melon. Doughiness. Pretty nice blend of flavors. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated. And the body is about medium. Mabye a little lighter. Solid grand cru.
