I tried this as part of a 9 beer sampler tray at the Titletown Brewery in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was only available on tap.

The beer poured a nice amber brown color that made a 1 finger tan head that lasted about a minute and left only a trace of lacing.

Thge nose was weak with a touch of roasted malt and berries in it.

Nice roasted and caramel malt flavor, but not overpowering. Berries and raisins added some fruit flavor to it and there was just a hint of hops used to keep it balanced. Not bad, but not as sweet as I like either. It was good, there just wasn't enough of it.

The mouthfeel was an interesting mix of medium body with high carbonation. Overall I liked it, I just wish it were stronger.

Deep amber color...sweet toasty malty nose....if anything the body and girth of this might be a little light in the shorts compared to some of the bigger DB's...

Not as in your face flavorful as some DB's, but tasty in its own way...malt load leads the charge but it is far from cloying....rather a rich toasty maltiness...finishes remarkably clean..a very light hoppiness on the long finish...

Very easy drinking for the style....(I'm on glass # three in less than 30 minutes)...

Overall this is a nice effort that is pretty true to style...this is a subtle doppelbock(and I mean that in a good way)...cleaner, lighter bodied and easier drinking than say Optimator....better than some of the micro versions like Leinies and Schells...rock solid...not out of this world though...
