This is a hell of a beer...deep dark brown color...smoked malt aroma....taste has the smoked maltiness on the finish backed by a rich, malty, chocolate base...
Very enjoyable...very creamy, texture...poured a real nice perfect head after a week in the growler....I'm impressed with this one..

Deep, dark mahogany body. Clarity is good. Head is creamy and cola colored. Lace is quite full. Thick aroma of campfire smoke, cherrywood, rich malts and chocolate. Great aroma. I love a good rauchbier and this is just that. Thick and heavy smoked malts on the palate backed with a rich bock like maltiness. Hops merely provide balance because I pick up minimal hop flavors. Body is damn near full and the texture is silky smooth. I believe oatmeal was a part of this recipe too. That adds to the mouthfeel I think. This is a damn good rauchbier.
