I tried this as part of a 9 beer flight at the Titletown Brewery in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The beer poured a slightly hazed copper color that made a 1 finger off-white head and left lots of good lacing on the glass.
You just need one word to describe the smell - HOPS!
The menu says this beer is made with 2 different malts blended with only 1 hop variety, but boy does this beer taste hoppy. Both piny and citrus hops dominate the flavor. The malts are barely noticeable but the overall result is a nicely bittered beer.
I like high carbonation in hopped beers and this one is nicely carbonated. It also has enough body to it to be called medium.
This is one of the better offerings from Titletown. I just wonder who determined it was a pale ale rather than a full blown IPA.

This beer was sampled as part of the sampler platter at the brewery. THis is a big pale ale, almost an American IPA, it is an excellent beer and would have received a higher score as an IPA. THat is all irrelevant, this is a nice beer. The pour is of a bright dark copper with a small off white head and nice lace on the glass. A nice hop nose, not subtle, not overpowering. Dry and chalky in the mouth. The flavor starts malty and is followed by a hop attack. This berr finishes long and dry and leaves you wanting another.

This beer should have been called an IPA, the hops over power any other flavor and I think to call this a pale ale is a serious lack of judgment on the part of the brewer. Hops are everywhere in this beer and I was not expecting this from the name they gave this brew.

We got the sampler size of this beer. The beer was a medium amber color with a bouquet of hops. The first taste was a hoppy flavor with a bite from the carbonation. The next flavor was sweet malt. The finish was floral. The beer seemed highly carbonated. Nevertheless a great, drinkable beer.

This is one of the better Titletown beers...rigtht up there with their O-fest and Weizenbock...Orange in color with a little bubbly head...nice fresh floral hop nose...excellent malt backbone...toasty malt...hops blend perfectly....very nicely balanced...finishes with a tight hop bight...an outstanding pale ale...well balanced but it has a nice hop punch to it....excellent beer.

This beer approaches copper on the color spectrum. A little chill haze is noted. A slight and sporadic beige head forms islands on the surface of the beer. Lacing is adequate. Aroma is exquisite. Dry hopped to perfection. Big pungent aromas. Rind. Citrus. Pine. Great nose. Flavorwise, this beer approaches IPA in stature. Big bitterness. Big hop flavor. Solid malt backing. The hop flavors are resin, rind, cannibis, citrus, pine and grass. Great pale ale. Mouthfeel is right on with carbonation. Body is about medium-full. Great APA.
