If you don't mind someone talking so loud that you can't hear the friend next to you, it's a great place. Go NASCAR!

They have Stone, Dogfish, Maumee Bay, etc. Good selection. Turn the fn TV off, please. Only place in town on a Sunday. How pathetic for Toledo. Hope we can fix that soon. Put you out of business, I hope.

At the time of this review, this place has only been open for a few months. It began as a typical bar catering to the masses as far as the actual selection goes, but the guys in charge decided they really needed to step into the beer scene and work on quality. They've also become more familiar with Toledo itself and what's happening here. Anyway, the review:
It's advertised as "a high energy watering hole," and I'd say it fits. What's nice is that it's not as obnoxiously as that might imply. There are TVs, but only the 2 at the bar (closed captioned), so they can be viewed without being a terrible distraction and there are places you can sit for the best view as well as places to sit where they can't be seen at all. There's some pretty cool rock 'n' roll paraphernalia decorating the bar, but it seems like it's not overkill and it works. The service is good and the bartender, while not extremely knowledgeable and unable to pronounce the names of a few of the beers, knew enough to be helpful, and she was both quick and friendly. Prices for beers are good here. One nice thing is that they do a tasting at the end of every month. This is partly for the geeks and partly for those really interested in good beer, and the owner himself takes advantage of it for their own education, which I appreciate. They're really working on increasing the amount and the quality of the beer they sell. Right now there are only 6 or 8 taps, but the bottle list is expanding quickly. The taps include BL but the rest is dedicated to craft, last time I went including Heavy Seas, GL, Founders, Bells, and a few others included one dedicated to Maumee Bay (whether the IPA is a year-round or it'll be rotated I don't know). While the selection isn't vast right now, I look forward to coming back here a few times a month at least and eventually improving my score. For now, it's a great place for a beer and you'll easily find one you like.
