Nose of ripe berries, tartness, straw, light funk, musty. Taste red grapes, slight sweetness, oaky, some tartness, seediness, faint tannin, light dry finish.

Looks deep red with grape skins floating around. Minimal white head that lingers around the edges the whole way down. The aroma is unbelievable. Brett is insane, wet hay/horse blanket, band aid, oak, fruit, spice. All day long. The taste is amazing. There is almost too much of a Brett presence which, with wine, is a bad thing. So maybe aging it in the wine barrel and adding the red grapes, it did something strange? This all sounds bad. It's actually great, but maybe it's just too... intense. The mouthfeel is the lowest point (4.5?!) it's a touch bubbly, I would've wished, like a Cabernet, it had a nice richness. The saison style is usually highly carbed. But it has such red wine characteristics, I almost wish it was more wine like with less carb. This is nitpicking at its finest, and I am glad to be able to try this. It's an incredible beer. Well done guys! Can't wait to get down there again.

This beer was so close! Almost a top Saison ever for me(still very good)...i actually got tiny red grape skins when I poured it out towards the end, which was awesome... Smell was off the charts. So funky. Tons of grape....here's where it just missed: A) the taste just missed the mark...the Cabernet barrel influenced the taste a tiny bit much and overpowered the grape funk and zest..and B) it wasn't a big deal, but I wished the mouthfeel was slightly smoother...other than that, I was really impressed and I think this is a must try...keep it up 7venth sun

Bottle shared at the brewery during RBWG-2015.
Red grapefruit juice appearance with a limited head.
Not my style. Challenging (like most Bretts). Nice lemony tart aspect. Lingering bitter-tart flavor.
