Poured a black body with minimal head and lace. The aroma was nutty and coffeeesque more than anything else. Thick, sticky, heavy body, not so much meaty or vanilla but does have a touch of booze. Has a nutty sweetness somehow with a barely heated finish.

Solid black with a persistent, dense creamy mocha blanket curled at the ridge.
Undoubtedly a sweet, thick pastry stout, this has that glaringly obvious helping hand from the Seat that is Irate, where they somehow manage to make drinkable what tastes like an absurd experience.
Toasty almost smoky maple is all over the nose, got damn skirting MD territory. This translates potently to the palate, while a bit sticky, it's not too much. The smooth silky medium full body delivers nutty notes of pecan, shells and all, and maybe even macadamia, with nougat and Reisen accenting before a semi-sticky swallow. Caramel notes and smooth chocolate roast just amplify that nostalgic Reisen decadence.
This hits exactly what they're going for, and even develops all kinds of vanilla frosting as it warms. Pastry level hits 11, but like I said, it's somehow drinkable, even after some time. Or else I'm a completely sugar dependent American pastry slob at this point.
