Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a white head. Ginger stands out on the nose, as does lime zest. I don’t get much in the way of kiwi, though. There is light tartness, some lemon zest, and maybe a touch of straw. Flavor is lightly sweet with some graham cracker and bread. Lemon zest, lime, and a nice ginger flavor to the beer. Lightly tart, somewhat dry on the finish.

Thanks, Paul! 32oz growler from the source.

A - Looks like the Midnight Moonlight base.

S - Really ginger-forward, but I love ginger, so that's good. I really wish there was more of a Key Lime note to this beer though, since it's in the title. Nice tartness, lots of ginger, lemon peel.

T - Ginger, not much key lime, light fruity tartness. Lots of ginger, no doubt about it. Really easy-to-drink...good stuff.

M - Light, refreshing, good carbonation, dry finish.

O - If you like ginger, this is your berliner. As I previously stated, the key lime is barley there, if at all. That said, really easy to drink and enjoyable, so I can't really complain that much. Recommend.

Thanks to Sean for sharing this, as well as a number of other 7venth Sun offerings. Served in a Surly Darkness glass.

A - Nearly identical to the base beer, but with a touch less foam.

S - Holy ginger Batman! Not much lime to be found here, as the ginger kind of obliterates both the key limes and the base beer. Thankfully the ginger isn't the fake, candied sort. Even if you like ginger, this is a bit one-dimensional.

T - The taste shows far much balance, with key lime pie flavors dominating up front and ginger making an appearance in the finish. There is also some lemony sourness in the periphery to represent the base beer.

M - Pretty similar to the base beer.

D - I liked this, but I can imagine other palates totally hating this beer due to the intense ginger character.
