Bottle pour at the post-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.
Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with malt, grain, fruit, and white wine aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice fruit presence all around.

375ml waxed bottle into a Russian River -tion tulip.
Initial pour is clear golden. Almost pilsner like. Yields a thin white head with stringy lacing. Second pour is yeasty, turns the beer an opaque gold.
Nose is quite fruity. Plenty of yeasty esters to go around. The Chardonnay characteristics are very subtle. I'd like more barrel in the nose, but the aroma is still nice.
Taste is relatively light. Initially a touch sweet, but the finish is drying. Again, the barrel is very very subtle. I would think this were barrel aged at all if it didn't say so on the label. As it warms, the brett becomes quite prevalent.
Medium bodied, almost slick on the tongue.
Overall, a nice BSPA, but not one that knocks my socks off. It needs more barrel to add to the complexity.
