Appearance: Pours out from the jockey box with an impressive head that leaves some decent lacing; the cloudy liquid is peach/mauve colored, creating a pink lemonade effect
Smell: Lactic fruit tones from the Muscadine grapes and wild yeast
Taste: Bready, up front, with the lactic tartness offsetting the natural sweetness of the Muscadine grapes; there is just a hint of sea salt in the finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Quite a collaborative effort among 17 brewers from the NC Brewers Guild, using all North Carolina ingredients including the Outer Banks sea salt and the Muscadine grapes; the salt here is very subtle and, as a result, the beer tastes very much like a Berliner Weiss; highly refreshing
