Appearance: Arrives with a hazy golden-tinged apricot color; the head was modest and left only a few strands
Smell: Bready and floral with a hint of orange
Taste: Bready, up front, with a developing floral and tropical flavor that is not your typical citrus; I would characterize it as a combination of apricot, papaya and flowers (the beer was brewed with hibiscus and rose hips); a touch of the blood orange peel is barely discernable; the elements blend nicely, after the swallow, with a somewhat spicy rye-influenced finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A refreshing and very different take on the style; really like the way the floral and tropical flavors enhance the profile
