Had on tap at Four Horsemen.

A- Pours a nice deep orange color. One finger white head shows poor retention. Light web style lace that starts to slide down the glass with each sip taken.

S- Spice forward in the front of the aroma. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe some allspice. There is a underlying grainy aroma to the beer as well. Alcohol is very faint. No real depth to the aroma...just a spice forward one dimensional nose.

T- The spices in the aroma come through very strong in the flavor. This flavor actually lingers through most of the beer dying off toward the end with a watery like flavor taking over. Cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg are all in the front of the beer. This dies down to a light pilsner like flavor in the middle with some dry biscuity malt with a hint of wet grain. The backend has the wet grain flavor with some light spicing to help mask it. The alcohol comes through clean with a hint of grain on the palate that gives off a medicinal quality to the alcohol.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation was good for the style. Lots of spicing left on the palate. Aftertaste is mostly medicinal alcohol, light spicing, and grainy malt bill. Flavors were one sided for the most part with spices leading the way. No off flavors were present but the spicing did a good job of covering most other flavors. Medium alcohol drying on the palate.

O- This beer was a nice try in the pumpkin world. The spice forwardness of it made it lose any sort of dimension to it. One of the better beers they have made although to me it seemed like they dropped spices in the pilsner they were brewing.
