A- typical deep orange/amber brown slickness. has thick consistency, very oily

S- lovely currant, grapey, caramel, a bit woody

T- a little overly phenolic for my taste but still a lovely example of the style. nice roasty caramel sweetness and hop bitterness

M- slick, oily, thick, resiny, liquid caramel

O- an excellent example of the style. Brews like this get me really psyched on what lies ahead in the French beer future.

Beer bottle (33 cl.) purchased from Clem (Nantes), and tasted in 2011.

Appearance : amber color, with white foam head (not persistent).
Smell : malty aroma.
Taste and mouthfeel : malty and hoppy flavours with spicy notes, and huge alcohol presence.
Drinkability : a good beer in the style Barley Wine, but too expensive.
