A powerful mix of multiple malts give this stout its intense black colour and heady aromas. Amazingly rich, upfront flavours give way to a mellow yet luscious finish, with bags of long lasting hop character. A beautiful beer to refresh your soul at the end of the day.

Aug. 2015: Shared 500 ml bottle, bought in Cardiff. ABV is 4.9%. Very dark brown to black colour, moderate beige head. Nice roasty aroma and flavour, notes of coffee and liquorice, a straight-forward stout I could drink a lot of.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a dark black colour with a short lived white head.
Smells very dark and burnt from the malts.
Tastes similar, watery but a dark burnt malty taste, with a vague hop bitterness on the finish. Fairly messy too.
Overall a decent quaffable, but slightly messy.
