Medium light carbonation with a just above average body which all came together for a really nice feel to this beer
Aroma is dark bakers chocolate, black coffee, roasted malt and a little char.
Taste was almost identical to aroma, deep rich satisfying flavor.
Overall an excellent beer that I would look for again

From a 16oz can dated 12/21/20 into a pint glass.

Pours a fairly thick dark dark brown with about four fingers (violent pour) of light brown head. Excellent retention and lacing-had to waith 5 minutes for the head to subside!

Picking up aromas of dark chocolate, smoke and a bit of coffee.

Tastes predominately of bitter baker's cocoa and roasty smokiness which work really well together. just a hint of sweeter chocolate on warming.

Medium to full bodied. Looked a little thicker than it feels. Strong bitter chocolate and smoke aftertaste. Low to medium carbonation.

Overall, a really nice RIS from Round Guys. Not as sweet as a lot of them, but this beer has a ton of character.

Served on tap in a 6 ounce tulip glass at the brewery.

L---Deep, rich brown color. Thick, light brown head with very good retention and very good lacing.

S---Roasty & full of coffee.

T---Follows the nose, roasty & full of coffee. Brewery noted cigar & caramel aren't noticeable to me. Although it is sweet, so maybe the caramel falls under that.

F---Not as thick as I was expecting, but still has a rich, full feel.

O---A good, but not great example of a RIS. I'd still have another.

No canned on date, reviewed 11/10/18

Look- pitch black liquid with a tan one finger head that's oddly bubbly on top at first, like loose soapy bubbles. sheets of lacing

Smell- espresso, fudge, black licorice, roasty char

Taste- follows the nose with sweet chocolatey fudge and a bit of licorice along with some dark fruit up front, followed by a strong burnt char taste accompanied by significant bitterness

Feel- full bodied and creamy, low carbonation, long, bitter finish

Overall- very full-flavored RIS that's an excercise in contrasting flavors, veering from fairly sweet to intensely bitter. I wouldn't call it balance exactly since there seems to be a clear line between the two, but it does make for a nice drink

on draft at the brewery, in a tulip glass

jet black, tan colored head. good head retention. nice aroma of very roasty coffee, and some chocolate. the roasted taste is bit too acidic for me. thicker bodied, good mouthfeel.
