Poured this pint of Pils into a clear glass liter mug. This is lovely to view. The color is a deep rich amber, quite opaque for the color and the style. The head is decent for the pour and almost stark white. Even the glass lacing is noteworthy. The smell is dominated by a sharp hoppiness. The taste includes more alcohol than most pilsners, likely because it is an Imperial Pilsner. The alcohol enhances the bitterness of the hops and that aspect overwhelms the malt, at least for the taste. The body is pretty good, so that’s probably how the pilsner malt contributes. Like a good pilsner, it's on the hoppy side, yet no hop bomb and the mouthfeel and finish are very clean. A good pilsner taste here, with a little extra kick, that sacrifices little of the good things about the style.

clear medium golden in color, bone white head. pretty good head retention. Nice bready malt flavor, some earthy noble hops both in the aroma and flavor. well balanced.
