12oz bottle that was gifted to me a couple years ago by a fine fellow who bartended for Round Guys. Poured into a snifter, the brew appears black in color with a huge khaki head.

This smells of milk chocolate with a fruity alcohol tinge. All along the edges this is weird with minerals and cheese.

It tastes roasty then milk chocolate sweetness. Some earthiness with raison and pleasant sweetness before minerals set in. Kinda reminds me of a big milk stout.

This is medium in body with modest to lively carbonation. Its interesting and I appreciate the chance at trying this.

I had 2 pilsner style glasses of FM to complement my bacon blue burger and they worked quite well. Sticky on the palate for sure. Poured opaque black with a brownish white head. Lacing stuck to the glass. Lots of depth. A mild melted Hershey bar on top of double toasted bread with a cup of French pressed coffee. We'll done Round Guys!

I've had several times both on tap at the brewery, and in the bottle. This review is from a bottle.

opaque black in color, thin khaki colored head, decent lacing. nice very roasty aroma, a bit of charcoal and smoke. taste is bold, but still smooth to drink. touches of bitter cocao and espresso, and a bit of estery yeast . medium to thick, average carbonation.

overall - watch out because this drinks like a session stout, no hint of the higher alcohol level.

Picked this up at the brewery.

Dark pour. Tan head. At first it doesn't really strike me as very export stout-like. But when the flavor presents itself, it's nice and robust with a mild smoked thing going on and thick, thick malts. Great flavor profile. I like this beer.

12oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Description on the bottle: "A stout brewed in the tradition of the extra stouts shipped to the Caribbean colonies by British breweries. Smooth, rich, and velvety, this is dessert in a glass."

I pop the cap and a chocolaty aroma wafts up at me immediately. Despite a gentle pour the dark, nearly black body is capped by a huge tan head that foams up dangerously and hangs around too long. The lacing, once it finally settles down, is creamy but slippery. The nose is very chocolate forward, and a prominent hoppiness is also detected, bringing fruity, spicy, and citrusy notes.

Milk and bittersweet chocolate, chewy malt, bitter and citrusy hops constitute the main flavor components. Moderate sweetness becomes dry in the finish, replaced by an aggressive hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Roastiness is generally restrained. A vague, pleasant booziness appears in both the flavor and aroma.

The body is medium and the carbonation is a bit high and
slightly off; the out of control head and slight fizziness detract a bit from the mouthfeel. The "silky" feel described on the label comes up a little short; I'd like to try another batch of this down the road to see if the carbonation is tweaked a little.

Nevertheless this is a damn tasty beer. Big chocolate flavor and assertive hopping make for a memorable and enjoyable drinking experience.
