On tap at Round Guys. A lightly-hazed, golden-bodied beer with a fluffy white head that has nice retention. Creamy-looking lace hugs the glass.
Aroma is spicy and yeasty; citrusy, fruity esters; sweet malts underneath. Very typical of a Belgian pale; smells promising. The flavor delivers as well; there’s sweetness from the biscuit malt and the fruity yeast notes; citrus from both hops and yeast further the fruity feel, while adding a very modest level of bitterness. Lots of clove, pepper, and other spices. All flavor elements hang together really well and there’s a good deal of refinement and subtlety to this beer as a result. The finish is properly and pleasingly dry.
The body is just a shade on the lighter side of medium, with crisp and clean carbonation. Totally drinkable, with a refreshing overall feel. This is a damn good summer session beer. Nice work, guys.
