Poured into a stemmed Zalto Universal glass.
A: The body is coppery, showing mild extraction, caramel hues and beige head that is quick to vanish.
S: The aroma is very rich with big notes of oak, vanilla, unripe peach and with lighter notes of pear, slightly acidic apple and raspberries, mostly coming from the barrel used, providing a deep wine-like experience.
T: It starts with a big note of blood orange, lightly citric with smaller notes of orange peel, moving on behind the apple with a more sweet tone like it's a cider of a mix between apple and pear and finishes off with a vivid barrel aging acidity that's doesn't seem to be brett but another kind of culture.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is low. Bitterness and acidity is both medium high.
O: This is a very very rich beer. Eager to try the sibling of this project, Lote 2. Quite a thing here. If I could, I'd save a couple bottles of this and taste it again in 2 or 3 years.
