Olhão 11/7 2016. 33 cl bottle on Restaurant Pescataria. Stylish bottle with print directly on the bottle.
Pours hazy orange-ish amber with a white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is lightly fruity with a little peach and pear. Malty caramel chiming in.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate. Lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet but followed by a more pronounced bitterness.
Fine Portuguese craft beer with a bitter footprint.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt notes with light bready notes are pleasant. Taste is a good mix of dry caramelized malt notes with some bready notes, light residual sugar with some light yeasty notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing earth shattering but well brewed bière de garde.

Murky with film. 3.5
Syrup and paint thinner. 3.25
Caramel, slight nuts, and… that’s it. 3.5
Thin, salty, some chew. 3.5
Needs hops! Or anything for flavor. Not even an Irish Red. This is for macro lager drinkers who are impressed just because a beer isn’t yellow. Tame as a kitten. 3.5

A moderately strong beer, amber-coloured with fantastic malty overtones with a bitter finish that could be better.
It has a fruit-accented aroma but mellow and full-bodied, so this beer justs feels great in your mouth. It is very well carbonated and although its bitter finish was far way from being perfect, it points out to be a nice contrast.
