"Best by 12/9/15"; drank 10/12/15 @ the Yarchives.

Poured from a can into a glass.

Semi-opaque dandelion appearance.

Nice bright white head; a curtain of lace.

Mango, fresh flowers & candle wax notes in the nose.

Thin mouthfeel.

Fresh flowers & candle wax flavors up front; lemon bite on the finish. A unique brew; not revelatory but certainly worth a quaff. I'd have another.

For a blond ale, this starts tremendous, with a big, puffy head and abundant lacing. Citrus and herbal hops stake their claim to the nose.

After the hop tease of the nose, the taste itself seems a little bland but actually fits the style in flavor and texture: light and dainty with light malts up front and mild but tasty hopping to the rear. As per the brewer's claim, I imagine this to be mighty crushable in the summer heat in particular.

very surprised people havent reviewed this one more favorably. its a cool beer, a nice twist on the classic american blonde, all hopped up and bold compared to the bland yellow ales we so often see. the can is cool too, i didnt know these guys did cans, must be relatively new. the beer is crystal clear with a short white head on it and a bright hop aroma of citrus and mango, fruity on the hops, but not sweet in the usual sense. its real bitter in the the taste, especially for a blonde. maybe not any more bitter than say a classic american pale ale, but it presents itself that way because the bitterness starts right up front. some orange peel notes in here, some pineapple, some pine. its a cool mix of flavor and bitter from the hops, and a lot of both for a blonde. the beer is light and crushable still, but not watery at all, aided by perky carbonation and a crisp dry finish. this is beer drinkers session beer, fully flavored but still easy going. nicely done by 4 hands on this one, i could have put back ten of them without a problem...

Look: This beer pours an opaque yellow-straw, with a medium-thin (1 cm) white head. The beer was poured, the above picture snapped, and then the can was rinsed and put in recycling. Upon my arrival, the head had nearly completely disappeared.

Aroma: Muted and soft spoken hop notes including citrus, spruce, and floral come to the front. A nutty, earthy malt background keeps this beer grounded and understated.

Taste: Upon sipping it, it does not resonate loudly with hop notes in the flavor profile. It opens up mellow, with wheat and nutty malts. The aftertaste is more on the hoppy side with notes of spruce, and citrus. It is incredibly simple in its profile, which makes it easy to drink. Not all the notes are delivered on adequately.

Mouth feel: It just looks thin, as the beer seems to slosh around the glass a little easier than most. The mouth feel supports this claim, as it has a thin, watery consistency. Carbonation and a bit of particulate add some texture, but otherwise it's incredibly thin and slick.

Overall: Not a beer I would recommend. It certainly is understated and low key which may work for some, particularly on a day in the triple digit Fahrenheit range. Not all the notes seem to be well delivered or expanded upon.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

12 oz can. Golden pour with a medium white head. Aroma of nice, crisp hop aroma with mild pine notes. Flavor is medium hops with crisp, golden malts. Session ale crisp and dry hop forward flavor. Light bodied, lively carbonation.

Room mate brought these home to share. 12oz. aluminum cans with a"best by" date of 10/18/15 stamped on the bottom of the can.

The beer poured a slightly hazed pale yellow color with a ½-finger of white head on top. The head didn't last very long and the lacing was minimal.

Huge citrus hop aroma.

Lots of piny hop bitterness with tangerine and grapefruit citrus flavor. The bitterness will not go away and lingers long after the finish. Mildly sweet malts are overpowered by the pine and citrus hops.

Very light bodied with high carbonation.

It's light and refreshing but not a very good example of an American blonde ale.
