Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 29, 2018. A boysenberry IPA brewed with two strains of Brettanomyces yeasts. Decent blend of fruit and funk.

a pretty cool idea head, a brett ipa with boysenberries, i think its neat that its still an ipa, almost first, despite the fruit and wild yeast, which is pretty mature, funky, and drying. its also cool that there is more than just dry hoppy juicy fruity hops here, which are present, accentuate and play well with the fruit, but also a sturdy bitterness, vegetal and fresh, but punchy and strong, it cuts any fruit sweetness and is assertive to make this an ipa, it think thats awesome. the berries are light and a little generic fruity to me, not so specifically boysenberry, but its a nice flavor, possibly a syrup or a concentrate rather than whole fruit, but it works because its not over the top. lemon and lemongrass from the hops, a little grapefruit too, and a floral nectar thing i really like. the brett is funky and farmy and gives this a lot of its character, killing a lot of the sweetness and making this way more interesting than it would otherwise be. fun and successful beer overall, id love to try it without the fruit, just the brett and the hops. cool of 4 hands and marz to get together too, a couple of the best in the region teaming up here!

on tap at the brewery, no idea what the hell a boysenberry tastes like but ya know. reddish orange, pretty deep color with a decent white head and some nice lacing. waiting on a pretzel. smells like a dry-hopped sour of sorts, tastes like it too. berry, more berry, some earthy and grassy hop and some citrus notes. carbonated well and easy to drink, bitter finish. glad i tried, but didnt quite blow me away. pretzels ready.

Released 6/22/18; drank 7/11/18 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy red/orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big, noisy white head; strong lace.
Mild boysenberry & dry grass notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Mild boysenberry, dry grass & faint table sugar flavors. Drinkable, but cloying & sticky. Not one I'll return to.

My neighbor and I found this beer down state in Champaign IL. It poured a purplish hue with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had berry fruit. The taste was fruity and like a spritzer. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with fizzy carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Bottled 5-13, enjoyed on 8-16
L: beautiful ruby red color with no cloudiness, thin retained head and lacing
S: Citrus and bright berry smell, some funk
T: muted flavors, some bitterness and cardboard
F: very carbonated and dry with a funky aftertaste
O: live the look and smell, but taste and feel is average. I'm glad I got it and would recommend a try. It's more funk than hops at this point

Amber with a pinkish violet tint. There's an inch of frothy and creamy pinkish white foam on top. The aroma is piney hops and sweet boysenberries. I taste a blend of citrus hops and a faintly sweet undertone of boysenberries at the back of the palate. The mouth is moderately carbonated and lightly sticky.
