L: pours dark brown with a finger of head. Looks black in the glass
S: sweet bourbon, but I get black licorice which I'm not a fan of.
T: just like the nose the luckily chocolate flavors soften the black licorice flavors.
F: pretty thick and smooth.

Pours deep black with a quick fading mocha head. Nose has moderate barrel presence and notes of chocolate, licorice, and roasted malts. Very drinkable....
great balance with no element overpowering the other. Hints of vanilla, oak, and dark fruit come out in the taste. Medium heavy feel with low carbonation. Great BA Russian....

Great beer. Pours jet black with little too no carbonation. Smell has hint of bourbon along with the taste. I would say it rivals BCBS. Very impressed with this release. Highly recommend.
