Straw yellow in color with a light haziness likely from the bourbon barrel aging. There's a fingernail of dishwater white around the rim and covering just a touch of the top. I'm also seeing quite a bit of carbonation bubbles coming to the surface. The aroma is of peaches with just a hint of the bourbon. The peaches and bourbon are well balanced, but the effect is overall a bit overly sweet. It really mellowed out as it warmed and so I bumped up the rating. More of a Belgian Golden ale with peaches and a splash of bourbon. If you have a bottle of this, crack it and let it sit for a bit until it warms up some. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

a good beer here, but i wanted to like it more than i did. i though the main three element should have been peaches, bourbon barrels, and begian yeast, which i guess they kind of were, but none of them were as pronounced as i was hoping for. the peaches smell kind of sweet and generic, and the flavor is more of a canned peach in syrup than a fresh one, still peaches, but kind of muted and overly sweet. the bourbon is there too, but its mild, vanilla and oak more than the whiskey itself, and its obvious that some of the nuance here is lost to the belgian yeast, which is fruity and estery and even peppery and winey and various times and temperatures here, but still not as unifying and encompassing as it might be. to me its a little too sweet and boozy, the wood doesnt present itself enough to mellow that out, and the peaches are lost in the sweet too, not natural or forward enough for me here, almost candied with everything else thats going on. its a cool strong ale, something a little different in the style for sure, but its not as cohesive and delicious as a lot of the other highly ambitious 4 hands brews. i liked this, but i didnt love it, and i wanted to, since peach is one of my favorite things. who knows, maybe this has faded some since it was brewed...
