i had no clue this is as strong as it is when i was drinking it from the tap, i never looked at the abv, and i would have never guessed it was this high. it does not drink heavy at all in that regard. that said, the beer itself isnt particularly mellow. the pour is pretty, two inches of white airy head rest on a hazy yellow base, lighter in color than many but with some obvious viscosity. the hops here are bitter and intense, oily and piney and almost like a concentrate of some kind, seemingly northwestern and high alpha, very prominent throughout, but especially in the finish, where they are majorly bitter and lingering, a climax even after the swallow. it seems to be wheat based too, or at least have some wheat malt in the grain bill, smooth and cereal forward on the malt side, drier fortunately, and with plenty of body. this is something a little different in the world of big ipa, relaxed in feel but robustly hopped. i enjoyed this, but it definitely got me a little looser than i was planning on, which is almost always fun. these guys are making some of the better hoppy beers in the area here, and this was distinct enough to be memorable for me. relatively intense.

This beer is a lightly hazy, golden colored liquid. The head is white no leaves a nice lace. The aroma is hoppy....woody, pine-like, with some candy scents. The taste, however, is full, intense, and dryish. Wonderful.

Gold in color with an inch and a half of densely packed creamy dishwater white. The aroma is pale wheat and faint citrus
and grassy hops. I'm tasting pale wheat, citrus, onion, and melon rind. The mouth is dry and faintly sticky.

Poured out a cloudy, golden yellow color with a two-finger head of foam. It smelled of grasses, pine and citrus. It was slightly sweet with citrus and caramel. A subtle bitterness. Very smooth and easy drinking.
