Had been looking forward to trying this one but was different than expected, yet still excellent. Unlike the original madagascar, the vanilla isn't the top hero, rather it is the coffee, then chocolate, then the vanilla, with some bourbon lingering. This is more true in taste than smell. Feel has great vanilla coolness and smoothness crashing into the sharp and percolated coffee, nice. Still on the sweeter side, a well done variant

Had a 4 OZ pour in a flight of other barrel-aged 4 Hands beers.
When it was cold, it was amazing. As a friend stated, it's like drinking vanilla.
As it warmed, though, it was a bit more cloying than sweet.
With the ratings being as they are (4.51) I was expecting more out of it.
