Had on tap. I love the orignal madagascar. It was a pioneer of bringing the milk stout to new heights. This variant on the other hand feels like it is behind the times because it takes that wonderful stout base and dumps a ton of coffee into it. That's it. Sure it tastes good with the vanilla, coffee, and chocolate blending well, but it does not dare greatly, but rather settles for really good. Smell is less defined because the coffee takes over completely, again good but I was hoping for more. Feel still has nice contrasting booze warmth and vanilla coolness, coffee textures are light however, which if the coffee is such a star flavor I want it in the texture then too. Again look at the score, it is a good beer, but it does not hold a candle to the orignal in my book
