Pours black with two fingers of khaki foam. Aroma is milk chocolate and mint, together establishing ~85% of the nose. Toffee, lactose, and roasty & toasty malts round out the remaining 15%. It has a hollow smell, hitting that milk chocolate and mint hard, but stuttering on its way to malts and substance. Flavor profile has a little more presence, but starts off the same - milk chocolate and mint. Here, those two are more like 80% of the flavor profile. Lactose, toffee, bakers chocolate, and faint roasty and toasty malts. It leans into sweetness, but the mint and dry, powdery bakers chocolate catches it before it runs off into a sugary syrup. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a light creamy consistency. If it were to be compared to chocolate milk, it would be chocolate milk made with cocoa powder and 2% fat milk - definitely not thick, but not thin. Overall, the label is correct - it's chocolate and mint at every turn of this non-fussy maze.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

I am trying this beer off the tapper as part of a four sample flight in the upstairs bar. It poured an opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had subtle mint chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle mint chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Pours an effervescent chestnut color with one finger of tan head. Some head retention & lacing

S: Just like a thin mint cookie, fades as it warms

T: Taste follows the nose, getting some Baker's Chocolate notes as well up front, along with a little dryness. Some lactose dry notes as this warms that marry well with the mint cookie elements. Finishes slightly dry with thin mint cookies

MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation

To me this was the best of the 3 in the mixed box and the only one to really come close to my expectations

Black in color with minimal light penetration. There’s a half inch of densely packed, creamy brown on top. It smells exactly like a thin mint cookie. It tastes fairly close to a thin mint cookie. It’s more chocolate than mint. The mouth is silky smooth.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy rings of lace on the glass. It smelled like a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie. Lots of mint and chocolate aroma. Fairly strong mint taste with sweet chocolate and toffee for balance.
