Canned 12/31/21; drank 6/30/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy khaki head; almost no lace.
Light roast coffee bean, chocolate syrup & faint fresh earth notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Light roast coffee bean & chocolate syrup flavors; faint dill pickle notes on the finish.
Decent enough; maybe better fresh but this is all I got.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Pours a clear umber-garnet topped by a finger of light khaki foam. The nose comprises caramel, light toffee, sweet coffee, a whiff of pine needles, and a pinch of cocoa powder. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a twinge of dried maple syrup. The body is a lithe medium, with an odd bit of undercarbonation that forces the flavors into a flat soda situation on the tongue, killing much of the potential enjoyment of things. It's amazing how much power that CO2 truly has over a beer's flavor profile. Thanks to that lack of carbonation, this did not sit well with me. i think a properly carbed version would likely be fine, but doubts still linger.

Level of caffeine in this beer is no joke. Truly a breakfast beer. A Sunday morning zinger.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at The brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a nearly opaque dark mahogany amber with off white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had coffee grind notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with coffee grind presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Brown ale with coffee...It seems like I don't see many brown ales anymore, and I really appreciate the style. This one is excellent. From a stylized aluminum can, it is a dark brown color with reddish highlights if held to a light source. The head is foamy and tan. The aroma is a nice mix of coffee and dark malts. The taste comes together well. I don't get the richness in mouthfeel that I expected from the oats, but otherwise, this is very nice indeed.

Dark brown to black with a puffy tan head leaving all kinds of wobbly lace.
Mild notes of both toasty brown malt and toasty coffee--it's a toast showcase, mildly speaking, accented by tobacco and even cigarette wrapper.
The fluid light body has a fine froth and finishes semi-wet.

Beer poured a dark brown color with a thick creamy head that diminished quickly to a thin ribbon with some lacing. Beer smells first and foremost of coffee, and the flavor follows suit. A burst of coffee followed by a slight bittering from the hops. Finishes dry. Overall, a well balanced brown ale that doesn't go overboard with the coffee addition. An enjoyable beer. Recommend!

Poured from a can. Very dark with a tan foamy head. Smells of espresso, roasted grain and cream. Taste follows the smell and it all works together perfectly. Really good

Mahogany brown to black in color with moderate light seeping through the glass when held up to the light. There’s a quarter inch creamy beige on top. Moderate lacing. The nose is bitter, bold cold brew coffee. I’m tasting dark roasted and bitter coffee with a roasted nut flavor. The mouth is oily and creamy.

The pour was a black caramel color with a light tan head which was short lived. Smell is caramel and toffee with notes of coffee beans. Taste is like a fermented cold brew coffee with a toffee finish. It has a little carbonation which is small and did not bubble after poured.
If you like Sump Coffee especially the canned cold brew, you must try this beer.

12oz can. Poured out a dark, dark brown color with a good sized, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted coffee beans, chocolate and toffee. Bitter coffee bite with sweet toasted caramel and dark chocolate taste.
