Pouring a glowing hazy golden hue, State Wide bursts with bright notes of orange, grapefruit, apricot and resinous pine contributed by a blend of Simcoe and Amarillo hops to balance this soft, slightly sweet pale ale. | ABV 5.5%

A mellow hazy. Decent flavor, but definitely subdued in comparision to top hazies. The flip side is that this one is drinkable and thirst quenching and perfect for an afternoon round.

Appearance:
Liquid sunshine in a glass. Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass. Not much of a head or lacing but that’s fine for this style in my opinion. Yep - hazy, pale, ale.
Aroma:
Mellow citrus.
Taste:
Mild pine and citrus zest hops.
Mouthfeel:
Really refreshing and bright while still having enough body to make it feel like a solid quality ale. Lightly carbonated, makes it chuggable. But this is quality that can be enjoyed at a relaxed pace on a relaxed day too. Would make a fantastic beer to have at a summer barbecue.
Overall:
If I wanted a beer to really enjoy probably any time of year, this would work.

This was the last beer that I picked up at a Walmart in Jefferson City, Missouri when I was out that way not too long ago. Never had anything from 4 Hands before and this was a textbook take on the style that was easy to enjoy but not particularly memorable in any aspect as the stone fruit dominated here.
The hue to this was milky, golden, and topped off with more than enough head. It would have been nice if that translated to lacing, as there was hardly any to be seen once the suds subsided. Tons of peach and apricot in the nose along with funky melon and cantaloupe, as this was quite a fruit-forward beer. Earthy hops and tangy grapefruit emerged in the taste, but not to a large extent as this was quite soft on the palate. Enough carbonation was here to keep it light, but not terribly crisp or brisk.
Just enough alcohol in this as well to complement the sweetness and dankness as it would have been easy to have a few of these in a sitting No date was to be found anywhere on the can but this was relatively fresh without any visible sediment. Balanced and easygoing, this didn't measure up to better examples of the style that I've had over the years but it was fine enough for a quiet night here at home!

I am trying this beer off the tapper at The brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had bright citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Pours a hazy gold with 2 fingers of eggshell colored head. Average head retention & lacing
S: Green melon & peach
T: Follows the nose, a little orange & Kiwi Fruit as well up front. Passion fruit, peach & watermelon as this warms . Finishes juicy with a little peach, strawberry & orange
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, nice balance
Very easy to drink, well done take on the style

Not my typical style of beer but here goes
L: very hazy yellow reminds me of the color of pineapple juice
S: Wow honestly for me this is the best thing about this beer. Grapefruit with a touch of something tropical so very fruity with a touch of herbal.
T: not overly bitter but a bit of a let down compared to the smell. Main note of grapefruit like citrus that fades to a grapefruit rind flavor.
F: this beer has a light body and thin feel with mild carbonation. Some might fine this refreshingly light. I find it coming off as watered down.
O: I don't care for this beer but I don't usually drink a hazy pale ale might be a style I don't like. Drinks like a watered down IPA. It smells great but I would prefer some grain or malt interplay. Just not my thing.

Pale yellow in color with a very hazy complexion. There’s a fingernail of dishwater white on top. The aroma is of tropical fruit with notes of lemon and lime. I’m tasting lots of lemon with a bit of lime. It comes off as rather tart and bitter. The mouth is light, smooth, and crisp.

16oz can. Poured out a hazy, pale golden color with a small, white head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of melon, lemon, citrus and sweet caramel. Sweet citrusy taste with lemon, melon and toasted caramel. Crisp, sharp and smooth.
