Pours black with caramel foam. Aroma hits vanilla first, second, third, and last, well, it never stops pushing the vanilla train. Roasty and toasty malts sit underneath, forming support. The break from vanilla shows fudge and milk chocolate, adding a little roundness to the sweetness. In total, it smells very sugary. Flavor profile is vanilla bean - again - big and bold. Roasty and toasty malts underneath, layer around lactose, and milk chocolate. The storyline is vanilla bean though - forming a steady, consistent volume while the rest of the beer notes work to establish some dynamic playfulness behind. It's still sugary sweet, but not as much as the aroma. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a velvety texture. Overall, for those seeking vanilla, this is an exceptional one to pull up. Unfortunately, do to that narrow focus, at times it feels unbalanced, or downright overload.
